Our Lady of Fátima first appeared to three shepherd children in Fátima, Portugal, on May 13, 1917. When people discovered that the children saw Mary, many did not believe them. The children asked Mary to send them a miracle so that people would believe in them. As promised, on October 13, 1917, a miracle occurred when the Sun appeared dancing in the sky! We celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Fátima on May 13th. On this day, we remember Our Mother's message, which is to pray the rosary every day and offer sacrifices for the souls in purgatory.
