Prayer to Mother Teresa of Calcutta:
Lord, when I'm hungry,
give me someone who needs food.
When you're thirsty,
give me someone who needs water.
When you feel cold,
give me someone who needs warmth.
When you have a problem,
give me someone who needs comfort.
When my cross seems heavy,
let me share the other's cross.
When you find me poor,
put someone in need by my side.
When you don't have time,
give me someone who needs it
of some of my minutes.
When you suffer humiliation,
give me occasion to praise someone.
When you are discouraged,
give me someone to give him new courage.
When you feel the need
understanding others,
give me someone who needs mine.
When I feel the need to be taken care of,
Give me someone I have to answer to.
When I think about myself,
I turn my attention to someone else.
Make us worthy, Lord,
to serve our brothers
who live and die poor and hungry
in today's world.
Give them, through our hands,
daily bread and give it to them,
thanks to our compassionate love,
peace and joy.
