Santa Rita in ivory.
Saint Rita was called the Saint of the “Rose” and the impossible. Saint Rita, before closing her eyes forever, had a vision of Jesus and the Virgin Mary inviting her to Paradise. A nun saw her soul ascend to heaven accompanied by Angels and at the same time the church bells began to ring alone, while a very sweet perfume spread throughout the Monastery and from her room they saw a luminous light as if the Sun had entered.
It was May 22, 1457.
