PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF MARY
O Sacred Heart of Mary, always Virgin and Immaculate in her most holy Conception!
Heart the holiest, the purest, the most perfect, the noblest, the greatest that the Omnipotent hand of the Creator formed into a pure creature:
inexhaustible principle of grace, goodness, sweetness, mercy and love, model of all virtues, perfect image of the adorable Heart of Jesus Christ;
You were always on fire with the most ardent charity: You alone loved God more than all the seraphim, more than all the saints combined.
You only gave more glory to the Augustan Trinity through the smallest of your affections, than you have given it and that all other creatures can give it through the most heroic actions.
Prostrate before You, Sacred Heart of the Mother of Mercy, I pay You the deepest worship that is due to You: I give You thanks for the benefits I have received from Your maternal kindness.
You will be, O most lovable Heart, You will be from now on, after the Heart of your beloved and divine Son, the object of my veneration, of my love and of my most eternal devotion.
You will be the path by which I will go to my Savior, and through you I will receive his graces and mercies: you will be my refuge in afflictions, my consolation in sorrows, and my help in all my needs.
So be it.
